Titel : Bambara Antelope Headdress, EPOCHE : 1895.0
Condition report : Minor age splits. Raffia is in bad condition. Mask has indigo dyed cotton fabric under the crown of the woven rattan cap. Twine creates a strap and the bottom of the cap is loosely wrapped with white woven cotton. The curving horns indicate that that carving is probably a stylized male antelope. It has drilled holes on the back and on the nose that probably had adornments at one time. Regarding the shipping of firearms and or weapons: please be aware that many restrictions apply to the international shipment of firearms, antique or otherwise. Your winning bid will not be canceled, rescinded, or retracted due to an international shipping limitation. It is your responsibility to resolve shipping issues PRIOR to bidding in this (or any other) auction.
