Beschreibung : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A hand-carved limestone panel fragment of a relatively rectangular form bearing a column or portions of 2 lines of hieroglyphs. Based on the planar left side of the fragment, this example was perhaps part of a larger stele or wall carving at one time. When translated, the top hieroglyph reads, coming out, and the 3 hieroglyphs on the bottom read, to royal house. The fragment is displayed within a modern wooden frame for display purposes.
